
DETECTIVE SECTION
The Detective Section works in support of the Patrol Section and
is the investigative function within the division of police. The
primary goal of the section is to prevent crime and apprehend violators
to ensure a safe environment for the citizens of Lebanon. The section
investigates all serious felony crimes within the City of Lebanon,
in addition to assisting less serious incidents as needed. There
are several basic types of investigations or inquiries that are
a routine part of the job:
- Investigations of incidents that are violations
of law or city ordinances.
- Personnel investigations.
- Investigations of conditions or circumstances
that could result in an increase in traditional crimes.

EVIDENCE TECHNICIANS
Evidence Technicians collect criminal evidence at the scene of crimes.
The Evidence Technicians work in support of the Detective Section.
VICTIM/WITNESS ASSISTANCE
The Detective Section is responsible for victim/witness assistance.
The Victim/Witness Officer works with the Warren County Victim/Witness
Advocate, the Ohio
Attorney General’s Victim Advocate, and the victims of

is an opportunity for citizens to assist their local Police Department
